So, for those of you with large music collections who work away from them, I'm sure you miss them during the day at work. I personally use a system called Ampache to stream media to work from home. I quickly got tired of browsing around a web interface, so I've written a python program in GTK that takes advantage of Ampache's XML-API.
Quickplay is a simple media player, It fetches all of your artists, and when you select one, it fetches all that artist's albums. Selecting an album populates it with songs. You can browse around your media collection and then double-click to play. I've recently updated it to allow decent selection of what you're listening to: double click a song, it just plays that song, double-click an album: it just plays that album, etc.
